About
English Enhancement specializes in providing accent modification services using the Compton Pronouncing English as a Second Language training program. Services aim to increase clarity and accuracy with spoken American English rather than eliminate accents. Whether you are interviewing for your dream job, pitching to potential customers, presenting to colleagues, or lecturing to university students, English Enhancement is committed to helping you achieve your communication goals.
Led by Ruth Yarnevic, a speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience, clients improve their pronunciation of English for personal and professional success. Prior to providing accent coaching, Ruth worked with children in public school and private practice settings. Over the years, through friendships with individuals from immigrant communities, Ruth discovered her interest in speech production differences among English speakers. Using her speech therapy background, Ruth assists English language learners in reaching their communication potential. Ruth earned her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Akron. She is licensed by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board, holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association, and is a Certified Instructor of Pronouncing
English as a Second Language through the
Institute of Language and Phonology.
